An Order of Protection is an Order entered by the Court which prohibits another person from certain actions or conduct. Usually, an Order of Protection prohibits a person from have any contact with the person who requested the Order of Protection. Additionally, an Order of Protection usually orders a person to stay away from that person and not abuse, harass, stalk or otherwise effect the person who had requested the Order.

How Did Someone Get an Order of Protection Against You?

Normally, an Order of Protection is obtained when a person appears before a Judge and complains about the conduct of another person.
