MAN KILLED FOLLOWING 5-VEHICLE CRASH IN KILBOURN PARK

Posted on June 19, 2012 in Car Accidents

A 59-year-old man was killed when a driver collided head-on with his vehicle on the Northwest side earlier this month.  The collision happened when a driver traveling in the opposite direction of the victim’s vehicle moved into the oncoming lane of traffic to pass another vehicle.  While the driver was passing, he collided head-on with the victim’s vehicle.  Three other cars which were in the vicinity then crashed as a result of the initial collision.  The helpless 59-year-old man was pronounced dead at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center shortly after the collision took place.

No charges have yet been filed against the driver of the vehicle that caused this tragic accident.  That driver was taken to a local hospital where his condition was reported to have “stabilized” the following afternoon.
